Missing DOCTOR WHO Episode Gets Recreated And Will Premiere On YouTube

Doctor Who is one of the longest running scripted television series ever. It has ran since 1963, with a couple of hiatuses. Throughout the franchises 56 year history, there have been a few episodes lost to time. Some have been given animated recreations with the original audio, while others have been found and restored. Now a missing episode is getting a complete live action recreation.

"Mission To The Unknown" was an episode of Doctor Who that aired in 1965. It is notable, in that it is the only episode not to feature the Doctor, any of his companions, or the TARDIS. The recreation was made by graduates and staff of the University of Central Lancashire.

You can watch the trailer below.

Some official Doctor Who talent is involved as well. Nicholas Briggs who is the voice of the Daleks and directs many of the Big Finish audio adventures voices the Daleks in this as well.

The episode will air exactly 54 years to the minute of when it originally did on October 9th at 5:50 BST, over on Doctor Who's official YouTube channel.
